Alfred "Fritz" Bowe Obituary

                Alfred J. “Fritz” Bowe, 85, of Chippewa Falls, town of Anson, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire.

                Fritz was born December 9, 1938 in the town of Tilden, the son of Ben and Anna (Schneider) Bowe. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

                On September 9, 1961, Fritz married Charlotte Meinen at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. He worked as a milkman for many years and a greenskeeper at Wissota Golf. He was a member of Notre Dame Church.

                Fritz enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, taking care of his lawn, cutting wood, and country music.

                Fritz is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Steven (Melissa) Bowe of Chippewa Falls and Gerald (Mary Shermo) Bowe of Cadott; three daughters, Debra (Scott) Schemenauer of Jim Falls, Sandra (Steve) Nelson and Brenda (Bill) McNamara both of Chippewa Falls; one brother, Allen “Ike” (Mary) Bowe of Chippewa Falls; four sisters, Ione (Kenny) Schindler of Chippewa Falls, Charlene (Jerome “Bud”) Bowe of Bloomer, Cathy LaGesse of New Auburn and Roxie (Jerry) Sikora of Colfax; in-laws; Janet Naiberg, Joe Woolever, Kathy Bowe, Darlene (Ronald) Steinmetz, Eugene "Butz" Meinen and Lloyd (Donna) Meinen; 13 grandchildren, Kyle (Amanda), Ben (Gina) Schemenauer, Matt (Kate) Nelson, Sarah (Craig) Goettl, Tyler (Kirsten), Dahlton (Katee), Drake and Kenessa Bowe, Brett (Oceana), Brayden (Jordan), and Bennett Bowe, Camee (Cheyenne) Hladilek and Carlee McNamara; 16 great grandchildren, plus 3 on the way; and nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

                Fritz was preceded in death by his parents his father and mother-in law; two brothers, Clement and Dale Bowe; and two sisters, Constance Rubenzer and Beatrice Woolever and two brothers-in-law, Marvin Rubenzer and Tom Lagesse. 

                A Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. John Schultz will be officiating. Inurnment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner at a later Date.

                Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 at the funeral home.
