Susan L. Thomas

Susan L. Thomas, 79, of Chippewa Falls, town of Eagle Point, died Monday, April 15, 2024 at Our House Memory Care Senior Living in Chippewa Falls. 

Susan was born March 7, 1945 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of James and Marjorie (Brunner) Ouimet.

On June 8, 1979, Susan married Richard Thomas in Stillwater, MN. She worked many years for Amoco/Pactiv.

Susan was a member of the Chippewa Valley ATV Club, Co-Founder of Happy Tails Dog Park, and Rock Dam Riders.

Susan is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Debora Stabenow (Gene Flick) of Chippewa Falls; one son, Wayne (Amy) Mewhorter of Chippewa Falls; stepchildren, Tammy Ellis of Tucson, AZ and Lori Ebner of Oak Harbor, WA; one brother, Duane (Rachel) Ouimet of Chippewa Falls; one sister, Diane (Alan) Foiles of Chippewa Falls; 4 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren 8 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren and one step great great grandson.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Lucille Thomas; and one brother, Charles Ouimet.

Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, April 27 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Chaplain Jim Billings will be officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Saturday, April 27 at the funeral home.
