Albina C. Bowe Obituary

Albina C. Bowe, 104, of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls under the care of Heartland Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Albina was born March 9, 1922 in the town of Howard, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Zwiefelhofer) Tichey.

She attended a country school for her first three years, then attended St. Charles Grade School which she graduated from in eighth grade. She then attended McDonell Central High School and graduated in 1940.

After belonging to Notre Dame Church for her married years, she rejoined St. Charles Borromeo Church for her later years. She belonged to the Notre Dame PCCW and the Eagle Point Women’s Fire Auxiliary. She had worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Chippewa Falls Woolen Mill.

On October 25, 1941, Albina married Clarence Bowe at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. She lived in Eagle Point all her married Life.

Mom lived 104 years. She saw and lived through many things…. from 18 presidents, wars, depressions on the national/world level. On a personal level, these are just some of the things we remember; her riding in a sled behind horses to elementary school and later walking to McDonell Catholic High School from her West Hill home…Working at the old St. Joe’s Hospital…dancing at Bresina’s Hometown in Tilden where she met Clarence!...cooking for the threshing crew and making her wonderful deep-fried doughnuts…having 5 children…finding some get away time to go on trips to Washington D.C./Boston, Florida, Washington state, Alaska and others…and most fun of all…going North with Kenny and Betty, Dude and Lee and other friends from Eagle Point. Mom and Dad had a good life…worked hard…enjoyed their family, their friends. And at the heart of it all was the farm…day after day; it held them all together. May God bless Mom and Dad and hold them in the palm of his hand.

Albina is survived by one son, Jeffry (Cindy) Bowe of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Vicki Brown and Linda (Dave) Dresel both of Chippewa Falls; daughter-in-law, Judy Bowe of Chippewa Falls; brother-in-law, Frank Fijalkiewicz of Chippewa Falls; 16 grandchildren, Laurie (Stan) Stearns, Tony Geissler, Gina Geissler, Melissa Bowe, Krista (Shawn) Meisner, Jennifer (Jon) Willi, Walker Lee (Nicole) Brown, Tekawitha Brown, Stacy (Joe) Stewig, Shannon (Jason) Berg, Ben Bowe, and Greg (Elizabeth) Bowe…as well as 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren..
