Allan Louis Larson Obituary

Dr. Allan L. Larson, 92, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Monday, March 24, 2025 at Lake Hallie Memory Care.


Allan was born March 31, 1932, in Chippewa Falls, the son of Leonard and Mabel (Marek) Larson.           


He was a member of Holy Ghost Church.


Allan lived in Chippewa Falls but would go to Chetek on weekends and worked at the farmers store to make money so he could continue to go to college at UWEC. He graduated from UWEC with the Honors of Magna Cum Laude.


Allan was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek, where he was confirmed and served as an Alter Boy through his senior year of high school.


Allan loved all animals, both wild and domestic. As a child he had 2 dogs, Skipper and Butch. Then as an adult, 3 cats, his most recent cat was Sassy. One of his prize photos is him holding a Tiger cub at a local fair.


Allan was an avid reader at his home in Evanston, ILL. He owned several thousand books and owned a three-story house.


Allan was a Professor at Loyola University in Chicago.


Allan is survived by a sister, Marlys Larson of Chippewa Falls.


Allan was preceded in death by his parents.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 31 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Jesse Burish will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Chetek.


Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 31 at the church.


AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:


Funeral services for Allan L. Larson were held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 31 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.


The Very Rev. Jesse Burish was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Mass server, Mark Birrittella. Rev. Chandra Ery officiated at the prayers of interment in St. Boniface Cemetery in Chetek.


Music during the Mass was provided by Beth Martinek and Sue Van de Loo.


Casket bearers were Tim Harings, Gary Misfeldt and Lauri See.
