Andrew H. Bronstad, 84, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Meadowbrook at Chetek.
Andrew was born February 11, 1941 in Rice Lake, the son of Ingval and Julia (Anderson) Bronstad. He was confirmed in the Chetek Lutheran Church in 1957 and graduated from Chetek High School in 1960. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from November 3,1963-November 4, 1965 earning the rank of Specialist.
On January 13, 1968 Andrew married Donna Buchli. They were married for 58 years.
He worked at Allied Blacktop for many years.
Andrew was a very hard-working man and always able to provide for his family. He enjoyed camping and hunting and loved his chocolates and entertaining people with his accordion music.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Donna; three sons, Duane (Tarah) and Dale (Michelle) both of Eau Claire and Dean of Chippewa Falls; 5 grandchildren, Andie, Aaron, Adam, Benjamin and Nathan Bronstad, one great granddaughter, Keyanna Bronstad; one brother-in-law, Mark (Tina) Buchli; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Andrew was preceded in death by one son, Darryl Bronstad; his parents; four brothers, Carl, Melvin, Raymond and Loren Bronstad; and one sister, Margaret Hoover; one brother-in-law, David Buchli.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Friday, February 13th at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Pastor Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church will be officiating. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at Noon Friday, February 13th at the funeral home.
AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:
Funeral services for Andrew H. Bronstad were held at Noon Friday, February 13th at the Horan Funeral Home.
Pastor Aaron Sturgis of Central Lutheran Church officiated at the service and at the prayers of interment in Prairie View Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Music during the service was provided by Judy Brist.
Casket bearers were Aaron, Adam, Andie, Benjamin and Nathan Bronstad and Ron Felix.
