Andrew Max Hable Obituary
Andrew Max Hable, 54, was called home to Our Lord after a tragic accident on the family farm south of Bloomer, on August 6, 2025.
Born on June 22, 1971, the youngest child of the late Thomas and Gloria (Bleskacek) Hable, Andy was an extremely active toddler, a trait he maintained into adulthood. A student at St. Paul’s Catholic School and 1989 graduate of Bloomer High School, he enjoyed participating in marching and concert bands, FFA, and other activities. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. This preparation led to a long and successful career with companies such as 3M, W. L. Gore, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was most recently employed. Andy’s true passion, however, was the farm where he grew up. Through a lot of hard work and research, Andy revived the old dairy farm to its current regenerative, sustainable practice.
On June 4, 1994, Andy married Wendy Volovsek in Rice Lake and together they shared 31 years of love and companionship. They welcomed their son, Alex and daughter, Aselin into their lives and together enjoyed many activities such as camping, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, and cycling, together and with extended family. Andy loved anything with wheels and enjoyed tinkering with and riding bicycles, dirt bikes, cars, trucks, riding lawn mowers and of course tractors. He was a skilled woodworker, constructing and refinishing kitchen cabinets from scratch and maintaining the 1901 farmhouse, barn, and outbuildings on the family farm. A loyal and faithful friend to all, he was also an active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.
He is survived and cherished by his wife, Wendy; children, Alex and Aselin (Josh Pinion); granddaughter, Gracelynn Marie; siblings, Peter (Mary), Joel, Chris (Clare) and Heidi (Paul Cummins); in-laws, Vern & Sharon Volovsek, Jodi (Jeff) Arrowood, and Sara (Brendan) Fouts, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Andy is preceded in death by his brother, Frederic Hable.
