Bruce W. Bowe, 68, of Chippewa Falls, town of Tilden, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.
Bruce was born August 28, 1956 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Ernest and LaVern Bowe. He graduated from Bloomer High School in 1974 and worked for 3M for 25 years before retiring in 2016.
On June 17, 1978, Bruce married Kimberly Anderson at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. He was a member of St. Charles Church.
Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with his family, friends and going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, Texas winters, and working hard to make sure his family was taken care of.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Kim; two sons, Nathan Bowe and Brandon (Chelsie) Bowe both of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Nicole (Dave) Miller of Menomonie; six brothers, David Bowe of Cornell, Don (Deb) Bowe of Chetek, Larry (Roxie) Bowe of Eau Claire, Glen (Nancy) Bowe of Elk Mound, Russ (Darla) Bowe and Rod (Lora) Bowe both of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Pam Wedward of Alabama and Gerilynn (Dave) Mahder of Colorado; 7 grandchildren, Oliver, Emma, Sadie, Adrian, Blake Zack and Wes; and sister-in-law, Linda Bowe of Chippewa Falls.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dan and Martin Bowe; and sister-in-law, Pam Bowe.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman will be celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment will be in Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Christian vigil service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.
AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:
A Memorial Mass for Bruce W. Bowe was held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.
Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman was celebrant of the Memorial Mass assisted by Mass servers, Steve Armstrong and Peter Murphy.
Music during the Mass was provided by Abigail Lynch and the St. Charles Funeral Choir. Readings were given by Gerilynn Mahder. Gift bearers were Sadie Bowe and Oliver LeQuia.
Urn bearers were Blake and Emma Bowe, Wes and Zach Miller.
Tuesday evening Msgr. Gorman led the family, relatives and friends in a Christian vigil service at the funeral home.
