Clifford W. Hunt

Clifford W. Hunt, 98, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at the Rutledge Home in Chippewa Falls surrounded by his loving family.

                Clifford was born May 24, 1925 in Todd County, SD, the son of Martin Ray and Christie (Withie) Hunt. He graduated from Bloomer High School.

                On June 22, 1946, Clifford married Valeria T. Loschko at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Clifford worked for Crane Lumber for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Bishop Fulton J. Sheen Assembly and St. Charles Church where he was an usher for many years.

                Clifford enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers and going to the casino. He was a member of the Chippewa Falls Moose Lodge #246 and volunteered for the Chippewa County Housing Authority.

                Clifford is survived by four sons, Curtis Hunt, Roger (Kathie) Hunt, Kenneth (Lynette) Hunt and Douglas Hunt all of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Beverly (Michael) Goettl of Chippewa Falls; a son-in-law, David Yarrington of Eau Claire; two sisters-in-law, Marian Hunt and Irene Hunt both of Chippewa Falls; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

                Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Valeria on June 16, 2013; one daughter, Darlene Yarrington; his parents; four brothers, Clarence, Carl, Claude, and Harold Hunt; and one grandson, Jason Yarrington.

                Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, October 19th  at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Thursday, October 19th at the church

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

Funeral services for Clifford W. Hunt were held at Noon on Thursday, October 19 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.

                Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Mass servers, Myles Goettl, Steve Armstrong and Peter Murphy. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Abigail Lynch and the St. Charles Funeral Choir. Readings were given by Steve and Theresa Halloran. Gift bearers were Marcus and Margaret Goettl.

                The Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 recited the rosary and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Bishop Fulton J. Sheen Assembly formed an honor guard.

                Casket bearers were Alan Bohl, Matthew Goettl, Michael Goettl, Jr., Adam Hunt, Mark Yarrington, and Patrick Zwiefelhofer.
