Clyde H. Erickson, 91, of Chippewa Falls, died Thursday, January 22, 2026 at his residence.
Clyde was born March 5, 1934 in Nashwauk, MN, the son of Andrew and Elna (Maki) Erickson.
On June 15, 1956, Clyde married Margaret Petroske in Kennewick, WA. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.
Clyde served as Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army for 20 years from March of 1956 until March of 1976. Then worked at Amoco Foam Product Company. He was a member of the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council, and was a lifetime member in the V.F.W. Post #1038, American Legion Post #77, Military Order of the Cootie, Past Post Commander, Military Officers Association and St. Charles Church.
Clyde is survived by five sons: Steven (Lynn) of Naperville, IL, David (Kristi) and Scott (Marlo) both of Eau Claire, Mark (Barb) of Chippewa Falls and Jon (Judy Peck) of Bloomer; his companion, Clarice Berg; 14 grandchildren: Chelsea, Andrew, Luke, Kelli, Dylan, Lauren, Ethan, Adam, Austin, Megan, Emily, Abigail, Alexander and Jeremiah; and two great grandchildren, Riggs Erickson and Liam Griffin.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret on September 1, 2014; his parents; and two brothers, David and Fred Erickson.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, January 30 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Timothy Oudenhoven will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Friday, January 30 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the V.F.W. Post #1038.
AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:
Funeral services for Clyde H. Erickson were held at Noon Friday, January 30 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.
Rev. Timothy Oudenhoven was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Mass servers, Steve Armstrong and Ron Bresina. Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery in Lake Hallie. Military rites were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.
Music during the Mass was provided by Debbie Frederick-Bresina, Curstin Lynch and the St. Charles Funeral Choir. Readings were given by Chelsea Seckora. Gift bearers were Abby, Emily and Megan Erickson, Lauren Griffen and Kelly Moylan.
Casket bearers were Adam, Alexander, Austin, Dylan, Ethan, Jeremiah and Luke Erickson.
