Daniel R. Haley, 76, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Chippewa Manor in Chippewa Falls under the care of St. Croix Hospice surrounded by loved ones.

                Born to Dr. John B. and Mary Katherine (Kern) Haley on May 13, 1949 in Chippewa Falls. He grew up in Chippewa Falls and spent his whole life here. He attended St. Charles Catholic school and graduated from McDonell Central High School in 1968.

                He was united in marriage on September 25, 1971, to Mary Elizabeth Bennett at Christ Episcopal Church. Together they raised two daughters.

                He owned Haley Construction Company for many years and an awning business.

                He had a love of fast cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed fishing and time spent at the cabin he built with his wife. He enjoyed time up there with family and friends, hunting and enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed many fishing trips in Canada and salmon fishing with his grandson on the Great Lakes.

                He also had a love for many pets over the years. He will be missed by his fur babies and hopefully reunite with the many pets that have gone before him, especially his faithful companion, Chester.

                He is survived by his wife, Mary; two daughters, Jennifer (JR) LeDuc and Kate (Todd) Anderl both of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren, Bennett, Zachary (Kenzie), Sydney (Landon) LeDuc and Matthew (Ella) Kuss, II; one great grandson, Sage Kuss; four brothers, Pat (Connie), Dr. James (Judith) Haley, Thomas Haley and William (Kim) Haley; his sister, Maureen Haley; brother-in-law, Ronald (Kathryn) Bennett and several nieces and nephews.

                Dan was preceded in death by an infant son, Daniel Charles; his parents; and one brother, Richard Haley.

                A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20th at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Mother Kathleen Charles of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sparta will be officiating.

                Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 20th at the funeral home.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

A Memorial service for Daniel R. Haley was held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 20th at the Horan Funeral Home.

                Rev. Mother Kathleen Charles of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sparta officiated at the service.
