Elizabeth “Betty” Ruhe, 89, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, November 16, 2024 at her daughter’s residence.

                Betty was born December 29, 1934 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Nazer) Bowe.

                On November 20, 1954, Betty married Don Ruhe. Together they had three children, Terese “Terry”, Richard “Rick” and Dennis.

                Betty and Don enjoyed many years of camper travel and were winter Texans for many years. They always had beautiful flower gardens in the spring and did a lot of canning at the end of summer from the vegetable garden.

                Betty is survived by two children, Terry (Jack) Knutson, and Dennis (Amy) Ruhe; granddaughter, Emily Ruhe; sister, Myrna Chartrand; sisters-in-law, Marcie Bowe, Suzanne Bowe, Marge Owen and Georgia Hilber; former daughter-in-law, Karen Ruhe and numerous nieces and nephews; step grandchildren, Darlene Thibeadeau, Jason Knutson, Kelly (Mike) Taylor, Tamara (Chris) Knutson, Thom (Christine) Crowe and Cassie (Ricardo) Gutierrez; step great grandchildren, Jonathan, Kendall, Tiara, Jessica, Nick, Alyssa, Kade and Elise.  

                Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don; son, Rick; siblings and spouses, Sylvan (Bernadette) Bowe, Leon (Delores) Bowe, Donald (Joan) Bowe, Robert (Deloris) Bowe, Clayton (Pat) Bowe, Marvin Bowe, Gilmer Bowe, Richard (Gerda) Bowe, Bernadine (Danny) Pierce, Butch Chartrand and Arlene (Earl) Rud; sister-in-law, Lucetta Mayer; brothers-in-law, Willie Mayer, Mike Ruhe, Ray Owen, Earl Hilber; and step grandson, Chris Knutson.

                A Memorial service will be held at Noon Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.

                Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the funeral home.
