Gary A. Davis, 64, of Altoona, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in Barron County, town of Dovre.

                Gary was born December 28, 1960 in Barron, the son of Norman and Betty (Lake) Davis, Sr.

                On May 18, 1991, Gary married Kari Lancette at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Altoona.

                Gary worked for Walmart Distribution Center for 32 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Green Bay Packers and he cherished his family more than anything else.

                Gary is survived by his loving wife, Kari; one son, Alex (Tina) Davis of Madison; one daughter, Jessica Davis of Altoona; two brothers, Norman Jr. “Bud” Davis of Chetek and Donald (Tracey) Davis of New Auburn; and three sisters, Jackie (Paul) Prince and Vicky (Alan) Larson both of Chippewa Falls and Carol Gale of Bloomer.

                Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

                Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 12 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altoona. Rev. Greg Bohren will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 11 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls and from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 12 at the church. There will be a Christian vigil service at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

               AFTER SERVICE NOTICE: 

Funeral services for Gary A. Davis were held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, December 12th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Altoona.

                Rev. Greg Bohren was celebrant of the funeral Mass and officiated at the prayers of interment in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Richard Peterlik.

                Casket bearers were Jacob, James and Joseph Lancette, Tony Larson, Mike Manny and Ralph Winters, III

                Thursday evening Deacon Tom Falbo led the family, relatives and friends in a Christian vigil service at the funeral home.
