George L. “Chopper” Brock, 88, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, January 2, 2026 at his residence with his family by his side under the care of St. Croix Hospice.

George was born February 4, 1937 in Wadena, MN, the son of George H. and Ora (Carter) Brock.

George married Grace Evermoen in Bagley, MN. They later divorced and then on April 20, 1990, George married Cheryl (Asmussen) Belger at Faith Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. George owned and operated his own welding supply shop for many years.

George loved hunting, fishing and being an outdoorsman and loved to travel.

George is survived by his wife, Cheryl; two sons, George “Steve” (Helen) Brock of Elk Mound and Andrew (Christine) Belger of Chandler, AZ; four daughters, Joyce Knudson of Altoona, Sally (Perry) Kallenbach of Wheeler, Connie (Bob) Ludy of Menomonie and Christi (Lyle) Stoll of Chippewa Falls; daughter-in-law, Kathy (Leroy) Brock-Anderson; 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

George was preceded in death by one son, Larry Brock; one daughter, Nancy Gearhardt; son-in-law, John Knudson; his parents; and one sister, Eva Jenkins.

A Memorial service will be held at Noon Monday, January 12 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Pastor William Plautz of Faith Lutheran Church will be officiating.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Monday, January 12 at the funeral home.
