Helen M. Zutter Obituary
Helen M. Zutter of Chippewa Falls died Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the age of 100. She passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side. She was under the care of Heartland Hospice and the family would like to especially thank Shannon, Amy, and Leta for their wonderful care and support.
Her favorite names that she was most proud of were "Mom", "Grandma", and "Grandma Great". Her love and joy for her family were what kept her going throughout the years, along with her unwavering Catholic faith. She was a lifelong member of St. Charles Church.
Helen was born October 30,1923 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Henry and Katherine (Schneider) Anderl.
On October 25,1947, Helen married Edward “Bill” Zutter at Sacred Heart Church in Dubuque, Iowa. They were married 47 years until Bill's death in 1994.
Over the course of her career, Helen was a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital Surgical Department, charge nurse at the Chippewa Manor and a night nurse-in-charge at the Northern Center.
Helen loved to spend time at the cabin with her family, especially over the 4th of July. This year was not any different: riding on the pontoon, sipping coffee on the deck and visiting all the family that was there. The family was very blessed to enjoy one more 4th of July together. She enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, cooking up some great cereal mix, banana bread, and homemade dumplings for the guys at deer hunting camp and was a major card shark and die-hard Packer fan.
Helen is survived by five sons, Bernie (Connie) of Chippewa Falls, Dan(Sandy) of The Villages, FL, Bill of Elk Mound, Tom (Janice) of Chippewa Falls and Mike (Kara) of Colfax; three daughters, Kaye Fox of Jackson, TN, Carol (Roger) Wilczek of Chippewa Falls and Suzanne Zutter of St. Cloud, MN, as well as honorary daughter, Trudy Winterle and her family in Innsbruck, Austria; 18 grandchildren, Brenda (Steve) Snyder, Stephanie (Joe) Weishaar, Andrew Fox, Rebecca Eason (Sam Elengebawy), Matthew (Samantha) Fox, Emily (Richard) Wang, Adam (Vanessa) Fox, Jeremy (Danielle) Zutter, Cory (Rich) Pagan, Zachary Zutter, Nicholas Zutter, Lucas Zutter, Ryan (Carly) Zutter, Chad (Cari) Zutter, Kalyn (Owen) Lewis, Abby (Chris) Crotteau, Erica (Andy) Vik, and Samantha (Kyle) Ziegler; 25 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
