Hyacinth "Hy" M. Liedl Obituary

Hyacinth “Hy” Marie Liedl, passed away peacefully on October 15th at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 24, 1928, in Chippewa Falls to Joseph and Agnes (Schemenauer) Fanetti, Hy married Norman Liedl on June 10, 1947. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and family, raising six children: Sharon (James) Tripp, Loren (Joan), Randy (Lois), Wayne (Carmel), Kevin, and Keith (Tracey). Hy’s pride and joy were her nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart.

Hy loved nothing more than being surrounded by family—whether tending her garden, hosting get-togethers, or sharing stories around the table. She cherished her card club friends and found joy in simple moments spent with those she loved.

She was also active in her church and community, volunteering with the Hospital Auxiliary and participating in the U.C.T., Altar Society, and Catholic Women’s Club.

Hy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; and sons, Loren and Randy.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 11:00 am, at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Chippewa Falls, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of services at the church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Hy will be remembered for her big heart and steady faith, her love of family, and the joy she found in every gathering. She was always happiest when surrounded by those she loved, listening, laughing, and making everyone feel at home.
