James Joseph Bowe, 94, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Lake Hallie Memory Care in the village of Lake Hallie.

                He was born February 7, 1931, in Chippewa Falls, the son of Adolph and Mary (Eder) Bowe.

                James farmed on the family farm, which he and his wife purchased in 1972. He worked for the town of Wheaton, and retired from Leinenkugel Brewery after 33 years.

                Jim married Shirley Ann Goss on August 1, 1955 at St. Charles Church and this year they celebrated 70 years of marriage.

                They enjoyed farming, playing cards, snowmobiling and spending 15 winters in Rockport, Texas with their camper.

                Together they raised 5 children: Mark, Christine, Laurie, Judianne and Neil.

                Jim is survived by his wife, Shirley; and children, Mark Bowe, Laurie (Joel) Turner, Judianne Litchen and Neil (Kari) Bowe; son-in-law, Jim “Fa” Konsella; 2 sisters, Roxanne Lamb and Jackie Revoir; 11 grandchildren, Amy Konsella, Craig Bowe, Cory (Angie) Bowe, Lindsay (Matt) Dowgwillo, Dylan (Carolyn) Turner, Meggan (Alex) Rose, Monica Litchen, Kate Litchen, Dr. Nigel Bowe, Conner Bowe and Molly Bowe; and 9 great grandchildren, Hailey Bowe, Wyatt Bowe, Colton Bowe, Lillian Rose, Beckett Dowgwillo, Isabel Watton, Jed Rose, Cecilia Dowgwillo and Colette Turner.

                He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Konsella; his parents; and 4 sisters, Patricia Bowe in infancy, Doris Boos, Ione Seibel and Betty May Sinette.

                Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 28 at the church

                Funeral services for James J. Bowe were held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 28 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.

                Rev. Alex Kren was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Mass servers, Matt Amundson and Ron Bresina. Interment was in Calvary Cemetry in Chippewa Falls.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Curstin Lynch and the St. Charles Funeral Choir. Readings were given by Nigel Bowe and Lindsay Dowgwillo. Gift bearers were Colton Bowe and Wyatt Bowe.

                Casket bearers were Conner, Cory, Craig, Molly and Nigel Bowe and Dylan Turner.
