James Drace, 76, of Chippewa Falls, died Saturday, November 12, 2022 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

James was born April 3, 1946 in Stanley, the son of Carl and Loretta (Sonnentag) Drace. He served honorably in the U.S. Army.

James worked for Premium Waters for many years.

James is survived by two sons, David (Randi) Drace of Weston and Mark Drace of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Dawn Drace of Strum; one brother, Donny Drace of Boyd; five grandchildren, Danielle, Emily, Kimmy, Ben and Jake; and one great granddaughter, Sophia.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine on December 16, 2017; one son, Kevin Drace; his parents; two brothers, Robbie and Gerald “Chas” Drace; nine sisters, Beverly Rineck, Shirley Svejda, Coreen Bennet, Marlene Lens and Helen Erickson, Mary Zeilsdorf, Carol Kadlec, Evey Zubal and LaVonne Johnson.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 22 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brandon Guenther will be officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22 at the funeral home.
