James N. Tallman

James N. “Jim” Tallman, 59, of Bloomer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Jim was born in Chippewa Falls, to Giles and Dorothy (Benish) Tallman on May 28th, 1963.

He graduated from Chi-Hi in Chippewa Falls in 1981 and went on to hold various jobs in sales throughout his career. Jim was an incredibly gifted salesman who could strike up a conversation with anyone and thoroughly interacting with people. Jim graduated from UWEC with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

On June 25, 2017, Jim married Delores “Dee” Miller at Birch Point Resort in Bloomer.

Jim was a caring father, cherished grandfather, brother and devoted pet owner. He took immense pleasure in spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.

He was passionate about cooking and fishing and was also an active member of the Elks Lodge in Eau Claire for many years where he formed many lifelong friendships.

Jim is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Hammond of Osseo; two grandchildren, Abby and Lily Hammond; three stepsons, Steve “Weef” (Krystal) Miller, Justin (Andrea) Konwinski and Nick “Cheedo” Konwinski; seven step grandchildren; one brother, Daniel (Kathy) of Chippewa Falls; sister, Susan (Joe) Krenzelok of Chippewa Falls; sister-in-law, Sue Tallman of Eau Claire; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Delores “Dee” Tallman; his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and Dennis Tallman.

Friends may call from 3 PM until 6 PM on Friday, June 2 at the Horan Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls at a later date.
