Janet M. King

Janet M. King, 86, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Janet was born November 20, 1934 in Bloomer, the daughter of Otto and Mary (Metza) Turner.

Janet served honorably in the U.S. Navy after high school.

On February 26, 1957, Janet married Raymond King at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer.

Her life’s work and her greatest joy was raising her five children and caring for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren who followed. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and being with family. She also enjoyed coffee with her friends after water aerobics workouts.

Janet is survived by her husband, Ray; three sons, Robbie (Rozie Brooks) King of La Crosse, Wade (Merri) King of Elk Mound and Bret King of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Raeann (Jerry) Hutchinson of Chippewa Falls and Wendy (Charles) Kaiser of West Salem; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Laura King; her parents; and three brothers, Gilbert, Arthur, and Herbert Turner.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, April 6 at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Justin Kizewski will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner at a later date.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 5 and from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. The ladies of Holy Ghost will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Per the state mandate, facemasks are required for all those attending.

Funeral services for Janet M. King were held at 12 Noon Tuesday, April 6 at Holy Ghost Church in Chippewa Falls.

Rev. Justin Kizewski was celebrant of the funeral Mass.

Music during the Mass was provided by Judy Brist.

Casket bearers were Nick Hutchinson, Chuck and Seth Kaiser, Ben, Jace, and Turner King.

Monday afternoon the ladies of Holy Ghost led the family, relatives, and friends in the recitation of the rosary.
