Jeana Mae (Clark) Boos Obituary

Jeana Mae Boos, 97, of Chippewa Falls joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Chippewa Manor Residential Living, the place she called “Home” since 2019.

Jeana was born March 28, 1927 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Walter and Eleanor (Reiter) Clark.  She grew up in Chippewa Falls and graduated from Chi-Hi in 1944.  On September 23, 1946 she married Raymond Boos at Notre Dame Church, the love of her life and soulmate for 69 years.  She and Ray loved traveling to Florida, camping, fishing, and taking trips to the casino.

Jeana attended cosmetology school in Eau Claire and worked as a hairdresser while raising her six children.  She worked at private salons, the beauty salons at both the former Golden Age Home and Comforts of Home, until finally retiring at the age of 84.  Jeana was a long-time member of Holy Ghost Church.

Jeana loved her Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, PBA Bowling, and almost any other sporting event she could tune in to.   She was an avid card player, especially in 500 and cribbage, if you dared to take her on.  Jeana was a great cook and made everything from scratch.  She was known for her apple pies and passed down her pie making skills to her children and grandchildren.  In her spare time, Jeana enjoyed embroidery and crocheting scrubbies, and teaching these crafts to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeana had a great sense of humor and was always ready with a joke to make people laugh.  She was a wonderful storyteller.  Jeana was a very social person and enjoyed the time she spent with her many friends.  Once you met Jeana, you immediately wanted to spend more time with her.

Jeana loved her family dearly and treasured every moment she spent with them.  Her joyful loving spirit will be missed but lives on through her family.

Jeana is survived by four daughters, Diane (Joe) Murphy of Eau Claire, Jane (Larry) Reed of Sarasota, FL, Tammy (Jim) Gustavson and Judy (Rick) Schafer both of Chippewa Falls; two sons, Roger Boos of Bradenton, FL and Wayne (Dana) Boos of Chippewa Falls; 10 grandchildren, Kim (Tim) Stein, Ryan (Inge) Murphy, Nick Stehle, Josh (Heidi) Boos, Darcy Bjerke, Carly (Jason) Supri, Allie (Jason) Isaacson, Brigham (Tabby) Gustavson, Breanna (Brad) Gruhlke, Alex (Chris) Schafer, 24 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and sister, Cleo Rasmus of Freeport, IL.

Jeana was preceded in death by her husband Ray; parents; brother, Ronald Clark; and sister, Mary Lou Maloney.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil service at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, any contributions that the family receives will be donated to Jeana’s favorite charities.

Jeana’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Chippewa Manor Residential Living who were like her second family, and to St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care for Jeana in her final days.
