Jerold D. Johnson, 64, of Chippewa Falls, died Monday, April 7th, 2025 at his residence.

Jerry was born February 5th, 1961, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was adopted at 3 months by Cathyrn and Victor Johnson.  Jerry always signed his cards to his mom “Thanks for being my mom”.

 Jerry went to Eau Claire parochial grade school and graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in 1979.

After high school he went to work on a pipeline in Willingston, N.D., for a while before returning home.

Jerry was a water and boat lover and he worked at Nelsons Sport Center in Hallie from the age of 16 and later worked at Links Brothers Sport in Spooner. He also was a car salesman.

He lived in Spooner with his long-time girlfriend Barb Davis on Big Lake Makenzie and they truly enjoyed Lake life. Barb passed away in 2004.

It was not long after Barb passed that he returned to Chippewa and bought a house where he lived until he died. .

Jerry ran his own business “ICS” or International Chute Systems and experienced a lot of travel adventures doing that.

Jerry loved anything to do with water, He learned how to water ski on Island Lake in New Auburn and was even able to barefoot ski. It was then he earned his nickname “Tuna”, and it stuck with him throughout high school and beyond.

Jerry loved fishing, he became certified in scuba diving, and he could Captain any boat. You never knew when Jerry would suddenly do a backflip off the dock or the pontoon.

Jerry and Barb loved Florida and other tropical destinations where they traveled.

He also loved cars and owned many makes and models.

Jerry was a fun-loving adventure guy, and he loved to entertain and host in his Jimmy Buffet inspired backyard oasis he created including a pool. He enjoyed all sorts of music, especially Jimmy Buffett, Neil Diamond and 80s Bands.

He is survived by his daughter Sarah, his siblings Mark (Angela) Johnson, Karen (Patrick)Davis and Susan (James Steltonpohl) Rada, his nieces and nephews Karl Johnson, Ben Johnson, Kaitlyn (Alex) Michels, Matthew Rada, Helen Rada, James Davis, Jasmine Davis, Joseph Davis and his great niece Rosemary Michels and many cousins.

A Memorial service will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 12th at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Inurnment will be in Prairie View Cemetery in the village of Lake Hallie at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Saturday, April 12th at the funeral home. Reception after service at The Sandbar on Lake Wissota.
