Joanne M. Ritter, 89, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, November 15 after a brief illness surrounded by her family in Eau Claire.

                Joanne was born November 15, 1935 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Harbich) LaFaive.

                On July 5, 1954, Joanne married Dale Ritter at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. She was a member of Notre Dame Church.

                Joanne worked for Dr. Picotte and Dr. Maniquiz as an office manager.

                Joanne was incredibly kind, adored by her grandchildren, and loved quilting, reading, cooking and Sunday dinners.

                Joanne is survived by three daughters, Clarice (Len) Dolan and Ann (Mark) Rueden both of Chippewa falls and Laura Baalrud of Holcombe; six grandchildren, Laura, Karyn, Kristen, Scott, Andrew and Shannon, and 11 great grandchildren, Jakeb, Kaira, Maitland, Layne, Solin, Brooks, Lennaea, Charley, Evie, Norah and Rose; and other relatives and friends.   

                Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Dale on June 7, 2017; one son-in-law, James Baalrud; her parents; three brothers, Vincent, Frank and Albert LaFaive; and three sisters, Agnes Swoboda, Rosemary Bowe and Bernice Loew.

                A Memorial Mass will be held at Noon on Tuesday, November 26 at Notre Dame Church. Rev. David Nowicki will be celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services at Noon on Tuesday, November 26 at the church.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

                A Memorial Mass for Joanne M. Ritter was held at Noon Tuesday, November 26th at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

                Rev. David Nowicki was celebrant of the funeral Mass and officiated at the prayers of inurnment in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Nancy Haley and Beth Martinek. Readings were given by Laura Bichler and Shannon Vitullo. Gift bearers were Karyn Baxter and Kristen Buhr.

                Urn bearers were Andrew and Scott Baalrud, Leonard Dolan and Mark Rueden.
