John B. Geissler Obituary
John Bernard Geissler, 78, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, at his home in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Born on November 28, 1946, in Glenwood City, Wisconsin, John was the son of Ervin and Harriet Geissler. He grew up in a close-knit community and received his early education at Holy Ghost Catholic School before graduating from McDonnell High School. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, laying the foundation for a successful career in sales and business.
John began his professional career as a promotional sales representative with National Presto. His dedication and talent led to a job promotion that took him and his family to Fredericksburg, Virginia for a brief period. In 1981, they returned to Wisconsin and settled in Port Washington. Two years later, in 1983, John took a bold step and started his own business in a sales venture that reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to providing for his family.
In the summer of 1970, John met Marilyn Kilmer. The two quickly formed a deep bond and were married on January 30, 1971. Their marriage was marked by love, partnership, and shared adventures over more than five decades together.
John was a devoted husband and father who found great joy in spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn; their children, Jason (Francine), Rebecca, and Shane; grandchildren, Quinton, Zachary, Arial, and Rowen; brother Richard Geissler (Lynn); and sister Charmaine Gonyea.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Harriet Geissler; and his brother, Lawrence Geissler.
Outside of work and family life, John had many passions that brought him happiness. He loved fishing and hunting—activities that connected him with nature and offered moments of peace. He also enjoyed woodworking, riding his motorcycle through scenic routes, and traveling to new places.
John’s legacy lives on through the memories he created with those who knew him best. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
