Joseph L. Glodowski Obituary

Joseph L. Glodowski, 83, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his residence on his 83rd Birthday surrounded by his loving family under the care of Mayo Clinic Hospice.


                Joe was born July 20, 1942 in Arcadia, the son of Louis and Mary (Hundt) Glodowski.


                Joe’s lifelong passion was farming. He often said “there’s no place I’d rather be than farming”. A true family man he showed support, guidance and love to all. He loved to tell stories to everyone he met. Joe loved to listen, ask questions and absorb wisdom from everyone around him. He enjoyed playing cards, selling pull tabs, or playing a game.


                Joe married the 1st love of his life, Phyllis Patzner in 1964. They were married for 42 years. He married the 2nd love of his life, Lennie Wiirre Olson in 2008.


                Joe leaves behind his loving wife, Lennie; children, Maria (Randy) Johnson, Mark (Lori), Damian (Becky), Darin (Kim), Renee (Andy) Rumpca, Roy (Jennifer) and Julie (Slim) Murphy; stepson, Keith (Carol) Olson and stepdaughter, Kelly (Tony) Lo; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.


                Joe was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis on July 14, 2006; his parents; one brother, Ronald and one sister both in infancy; and a grandson, Jacob Glodowski.


                A Memorial Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at Most Sacred Heart Church in Pine Creek. Rev. Kyle Laylan will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.


                Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, July 25 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls and there will be visitation from Noon until the time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.


                 AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:


A Memorial Mass for Joseph L. Glodowski was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26 at The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in the town of Dodge.


                Rev. Kyle Laylan was celebrant of the Memorial Mass and officiated at the prayers of inurnment in the church cemetery.


                Music during the Mass was provided by Kathy Andre and Delaine Patzner. Readings were given by Ellie Glodowski and Anna Swenson. Gift bearers were Coltan and Ethan Glodowski.


                Urn bearers were Jordan Gehrking, Alex and Henry Glodowski and Russell Rumpca.


                Friday afternoon the Knights of Columbus Goldsmith Council #974 led the family, relatives and friends in the recitation of the rosary.
