Lawrence G. Yankee, 87, of Chippewa Falls, died Friday, January 31, 2025 at Dove Healthcare West in Eau Claire under the care of Heartland Hospice.

                Lawrence was born March 12, 1937 in Neillsville, the son of Gilbert and Mary (O’Reilly) Yankee. Larry graduated from Neillsville High School in 1955. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and later worked at W.S. Darley as a machinist. He was a member of Notre Dame Church.

                Lawrence is survived by one brother, Ronald (Jean) Yankee of Round Lake, IL; one nephew, Mark Yankee; one niece, Tanya (Larry) Kolb; and special friend, Renee (Phil) Severson.

                Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents; one sister in infancy; and one niece, Lori Yankee.

                Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 6 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Neillsville.

                Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 6 at the church.
