Linda J. Reiter, 76, of Chippewa Falls, village of Lake Hallie, died Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Lake Hallie Memory Care in Lake Hallie.

                Linda was born December 5, 1947 in Superior, the daughter of Charles and Ruby (McNamara) Hutchinson.

                On May 23, 1970, Linda married Thomas Reiter at Sacred Heart Church in Jim Falls.

                Linda led many ministries including Matters of the Heart, and MOPS. She mentored children at Stillson-Voyageurs Club and led countless Bible studies. She was a wonderful homemaker, amazing cook and a devoted Christian to all who knew her.

                Linda is survived by two sons, Rick “Rocket” Reiter and Tim “Gibby” (Valerie) Reiter both of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Jodi (Jim) Fahrman of Eau Claire and Nikki (Jason) Hurt of Chippewa Falls; one brother, James (Shari) Hutchinson of Jim Falls; four sisters, Margaret “Peggy” (Bryan) Horgen of Loveland, CO, Anita (Pat) Downey, Brenda (Mike) Belau, and Judy (Ron) Sokup all of Chippewa Falls; eight grandchildren, Paige Reiter, Cameron, Caitlyn and Conner Fahrman, Grace and Molly Reiter, Evan and Aidan Hurt; and two great granddaughters, Aspen Walker and Ka’Leigha Golden; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry Dressel of Waterloo, IA, Jeanne Hutchinson of Jim Falls and John Nohr of Cornell.

               The family would like to thank Lake Hallie Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice.

                Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Tom on December 6, 2014; her parents; two brothers, Tom and Chuck Hutchinson; and two sisters, Chris Nohr and Rosemary Dressel.

                Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Pastor Jim Gale will be officiating. Interment will be in Copp Cemetery in the town of Anson.

                Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 13 and from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

                Funeral services for Linda J. Reiter were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.

                Pastor Jim Gale officiated at the service and at the prayers of interment in Copp Cemetery in the town of Anson.

                Music during the service was provided by Pastor Gale and his wife.

                Casket bearers were Matt and Joe Downey, Cameron and Conner Fahrman, Aidan and Evan Hurt and Brent and Dan Sokup.
