Lisa Neff Obituary

Lisa Marie (Hasenmueller) Neff, 54, of Chippewa Falls, town of LaFayette, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 14, 2023 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She passed away following a surgical procedure after a lengthy illness. Lisa’s family was at her side.

Lisa was born in Eau Claire, on March 11, 1969, the daughter of Kenneth Raymond and Alyce Angeline (Bauer) Hasenmueller. She grew up in rural Fall Creek and attended Regis High School, graduating in 1987. Lisa married her best friend, Richard Franklin Neff at the Masonic Lodge in Chippewa Falls on April 29,1989.  The couple have a daughter, Belinda “Lindy” Alyce, born on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2001.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Richard; daughter, Belinda; brothers, Kenneth “Bucky” Hasenmueller of Eau Claire and Brian Hasenmueller of Blaine, MN; and one sister, Lynette (Tony) Maldonado of Indianapolis, IN.

Lisa was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

Her hobbies included watching old movies, oil and acrylic painting, reading romance novels and playing all kinds of games. One of Lisa’s favorite trips/events was the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, TN where we spent many October weekends soaking in the fall colors and listening to great music and stories. We were also blessed by hosting 6 exchange students: (Marketa, Marta, Anicka, Kaca, Ania and Anezka) and by developing relationships with many other Global Outreach students and exchange program members: (Miriam, Anetka, and Alice). These relationships were a source of comfort, joy and support over the years.

She was employed by Sodexo as a Food Service Supervisor working with her “hillbilly” crew at UW-Eau Claire Hilltop. Previously, she worked in food services at various sites including St. Joseph’s Hospital, Holy Ghost grade school, Dove South and Mount Washington rehabilitation centers.

Lisa was a former lectern and choir member at Notre Dame Catholic Church. She volunteered for many years at the St. Joseph Auxiliary.
