Mary Jane Bohl Obituary

Mary Jane Bohl, 92, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Our House Senior Living in Chippewa Falls under the care of Heartland Hospice.


Mary Jane was born February 11, 1934 in the town of Howard, the daughter of William and Ceceilia (Gaier) Schindler.


On September 15, 1952, Mary Jane married William Bohl at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in the town of Cooks Valley.


Mary Jane was a member of St. Peter’s Church in the town of Tilden, a member of St. Peter’s Christian Mothers Society and Catholic Financial Life.


Mary Jane loved cardinals, gardening, making quilts for family members, jigsaw puzzles, her treats and visits from her family members.


Mary Jane is survived by two sons, Fred (Deb) Bohl of Chippewa Falls and Ralph (Joey) Bohl of Eau Claire; six daughters, Judy (Louie) Swartz, Ruth (Dick) Goulet, Lori (Jim) Eisenreich and Audrey (Dale) Erickson all of Chippewa Falls Sue (Tony) Reiter of Jim Falls; Jane (Harold) Fischer of Eau Claire; three brothers, William Schindler of Bloomer, Eugene (Bonnie) Schindler of Chippewa Falls, and Larry (Rosemary) Schindler of town of Howard; one sister, Teresa (Richard) Keller of Bloomer; 24 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, one great granddaughter on the way, one great great grandson; and one on the way.


Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband, William on January 7, 2018; her parents; two brothers, John and James Schindler; three sisters, Dolores Hebert, Donetta Bowe and Betty Hable; one grandson, Scott Swartz; and great granddaughter, Madeline Maly.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17th at St. Peter’s Church in Tilden. Rev. Alex Kren will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in the church cemetery.


Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16th and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian vigil service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Christian Mother’s Society will recite the rosary at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.


AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:


Funeral services for Mary Jane Bohl were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17th at St. Peter’s Church in Tilden.


Rev. Alex Kren and Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman concelebrated at the funeral Mass assisted by Deacon Dan Rider. Interment was in the church cemetery.


Readings were given by Shelly Wohler and Tammy Woodside. Gift bearers were Rachel Eisenreich, Katy Maly and Christiana Williams.


Casket bearers were Andy, Billy, Charlie and Chris Bohl, Michael Eisenreich, Aaron, Brandon and Josh Erickson, Eric and Travis Fischer, Jake Goulet and Jim Reiter.


Thursday evening Deacon Rider led the family, relatives and friends in a Christian vigil service at the funeral home and the Christian Mother’s Society recited the rosary on Friday at the church.
