Mary Lou Postl, 91, of Chippewa Falls, died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake.
Mary Lou was born June 8, 1934 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Louis and Marie (Bibeau) Nowak.
On June 22, 1957, Mary Lou married Herman Postl at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. She was a member of St. Charles Church.
She loved her grandchildren and the ones she babysat.
Mary Lou is survived by one son, Daniel “Butch” Postl of Harlingen, TX; six daughters, Tammy (Tony) Christopher, Debra Postl, Renee (Jerry) Jackson and Kim Postl all of Chippewa Falls, Donna (Mick) Helwig of Independence and Linda (Les) Whitcome of New Auburn; one sister, Barbara (John) Rasmus of Chippewa Falls; six grandchildren, Jessica (Brett) Lothian, Jake Christopher, Amanda (Bjorn) Johnson, Ben (Emily) Helwig, Tanner and Erin Jackson; and seven great grandchildren, Ava, Kara, Ryan, Lincoln, Graham, Boston and Brnylee; honorary grandchildren, Kathryn “Kat” (DeWayne) Hanson and Kari (Nate) Stepp; and her fur babies.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Herman on September 1, 2022; her parents; and one brother, Tom Nowak.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 19th at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. William P. Felix will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 19th at the funeral home.
AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:
A Memorial service for Mary Lou Postl was held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, February 19th at the Horan Funeral Home.
Rev. William P. Felix officiated at the service and at the prayers of inurnment in Calvary Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.
Music during the service was provided by Jake Christopher and Erin Jackson. Readings were given by Amanda Johnson and Kara Lothian.
Urn bearers were Jake Christopher, Ben Helwig, Erin and Tanner Jackson, Amanda Johnson and Jessica Lothian.
Honorary urn bearers were Ava, Boston, Brnylee, Graham, Kara, Lincoln and Ryan.
