Michael T. Brown, 73, of Chippewa Falls, died Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.

                Mike was born October 29, 1950 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Patrick and JoAnn (Couture) Brown.

                Mike worked at Super Value, Mason Shoe and the Chippewa Herald.

                Mike served in the Wisconsin National Guard as a sergeant and was a member of St. Charles Church where he served as both an usher and eucharistic minister.

                Mike was a lifelong lover of Minnesota sports, former member of the Rotary Club, and Main Street Association. He was an avid golfer and played softball for Larry’s Pizza. He was a devout Catholic.

                Mike is survived by two sons, Matt Brown of Vicenza, Italy and Walker Lee Brown of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Tekawitha Brown of Des Moines, IA; two brothers, Patrick Brown of Chippewa Falls and Dan (Bonnie) Brown of Saginaw, MI; and one granddaughter, Charlotte Brown.

                Mike was preceded in death by his parents.

                A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 9 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman will be celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment will be in Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council.

                Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 9 at the church.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

A Memorial Mass for Michael T. Brown was held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 9 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.

                Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman was celebrant of the Memorial Mass assisted by Mass servers, Steve Armstrong and Peter Murphy. Inurnment was in Hope Mausoleum in Chippewa Falls. Military rites were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council with Taps played by Sheila Armstrong.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Abigail Lynch and the St. Charles Funeral Choir. Readings were given by Diane Schemenauer and Tom Weyenberg.

                Urn bearers were Bill Burish, Chuck Peloquin, Tom Sazama and Wayne Steinmetz.
