Odetta E. Bresina, 88, of Barron, died Saturday, March 22, 2025 at DaVita Dialysis in Rice Lake.

                Odetta was born October 26, 1936 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Walter and Esther (Elmyra) Smith.

                Odetta married Richard “Dick” R. Bresina on November 28, 1953 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls.

                Odetta is survived by three sons, Rick Bresina of Cadott, Tim (Gerri) Bresina and Robert “Chip”  Bresina both of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Lucy (Jack) Lawler of Chippewa Falls, Lynn Olson of Barron, and Nancy (Kim) Simenson of Cadott; one sister, Loretta Pecka of Waupaca; 30 grandchildren; 87 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and special niece, Juanita Erickson of Elk Mound; and special friend, Pat Phillips of Rice Lake.

                Odetta was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her son-in-law, Russell Olson; her parents; her in-laws, Robert and Dolly Bresina; one brother, Walter “Lucky” Smith; six sisters, Audrey Geist, Carol Bergeron, Vera Kolpein, Janice Smith, Joy Sewilo, and Thelma Austin; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; and special friend, Harry Lotts.

                Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman will be officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the funeral home.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

Funeral services for Odetta E. Bresina were held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 28 at the Horan Funeral Home.

                Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Gorman officiated at the service and at the prayers of interment in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Music during the service was provided by Judy Brist. Readings were given by Jace Bresina and Michelle Simenson.

                Casket bearers were David Bresina, Jarid Bresina, Casey Lawler, Rebbecca Lee, Nathaniel Roske and Jeremiah Simenson.
