Patricia M. Frederick Obituary

Patricia (Patty) M. Frederick, 74, of Chippewa Falls, earned her place in Heaven on November 4, 2025. Patty was born October 5,1951 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Niles and Marie (Faschingbauer) Frederick. Patty was married to Paul Hurlburt on August 30,1969 and later moved to Colorado.

She survived by her four children, Jon (Rhonda) Hurlburt of Texas, Jeff (Liz) Hurlburt of Colorado, Amanda Hurlburt of Chippewa Falls, and Emily Sweeney of Minnesota; Six sisters, Margaret (Luther) Johnson, Kathy (Darrell) Olson, Nila Fransway, Mary Harings, Julie Nyhus, and Sarah (Richard) Tomczak; and one brother, Michael (Roxi) Frederick; brother-in-law, Grant Cutting; Grandchildren, Katee, Kelli, Damon, Kaylee, Hanna, Olivia, Eli, Ethen, Delenie, Landon, and Liam; Great grandchildren, Willow, Avery, and Freyja; and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Jennifer Cutting; brother-in-law, Randy Harings; nephew, Justin LaRosa; and niece, Kathryn Cutting.

Patty ran a daycare out of her home for many years in Colorado and later went on to earn a degree in Child Development. She moved back to Wisconsin and continued to be a dedicated daycare provider. First, she was the Director at CVTC Daycare until it closed and then worked and retired from the Mayo Child Development Center.

Patty was the heart and matriarch of the family. She was known for her kindness, gentle spirit, generous nature, and she touched the lives of everyone around her. Her home was more than just a place—it was the gathering spot where family came together to celebrate, laugh, and share life’s moments. She had her own “particular” ways, which we lovingly teased her about, and it only added to her charm. Affectionately called “the Queen,” she carried that title with humor and grace. Despite facing many physical struggles over the years, her concern was always for others. She never let her own challenges overshadow her care for family and friends. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love will remain a lasting legacy. She leaves behind a family who adored her, cherished her, and will forever hold her memory close. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to shine in the traditions she created, the love she gave, and the example she set. She will be deeply missed in this world, and we look forward to seeing her again in heaven.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Valley Vineyard Church in Chippewa Falls.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of services at the church.
