Patricia J. Mayer, 86, tenant of LakeHouse, Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. 

She was born October 22, 1938, to the late Ferdinand and Theresa (Zwiefelhofer) Bowe, the youngest of ten children and the last to pass.

Patricia graduated from McDonell High School, class of 1956.

She was an avid card player and was ready for a game of Euchre or Sheepshead.  With her time at LakeHouse, you could find her at Bingo, playing dominos, or putting the jigsaw puzzles together. 

Patricia married William Mayer Jr. on August 17, 1957.  They celebrated 50 years before he passed away on October 28, 2007.  Together they farmed in the town of Tilden and raised 11 children. 

She worked in the call center at Mason Shoe for 15 years. 

Patricia is survived by her children: Doug (Kathy), Denise (Don) Gindt, Roxanne (Bruce) Hable, Linda (Dale) Holten, Larry (Lori), Sharon (David) Gullickson, Mark (Lisa), Lori Mayer, Carol (Michael) Hassemer, and Scott.  She is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her lady friends from LakeHouse.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Wayne; grandson, Zachary; and siblings, Raymond, Delvin, Clement, Dolores, Willard, Floyd, Richard, as well as Gerald and Margaret who passed in infancy.

Per Patricia’s wishes, services will be private.
