Paula A. (Potter) Dietsche, 76, of Chippewa Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Our House Memory Care in Chippewa Falls.

             Paula was born June 27, 1947, in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of James and Antoinette (Cariveau) Potter, Sr.

             On May 13, 1967, Paula married Jerald Dietsche at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

             Paula was a CPA. She owned and operated Potter Business Service for many years. She was a member of MENSA, the Moose Lodge #294, the Women’s Auxiliary for the American Legion Post #77, and Notre Dame Parish.

             Paula enjoyed reading, painting, crafts, gardening, and was a wonderful cook and baker. Paula was also a past President of the Chippewa-Eau Claire Deanery Council of Catholic Women. She loved serving others through church and her business. She was an amazing wife, mom, and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family.

             Paula is survived by one son, Jerald, Jr. (Lisa) Dietsche; two daughters, Antoinette (Craig) Key and Katharine (Jody) Wolfe; one brother, James (Nittaya) Potter, Jr.; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

             Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jerald on May 31, 2017; her parents; and two sisters, Georgianna and Mary Catherine Potter in infancy.

             A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 6 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Jesse Burish will be the celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

             Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian vigil service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

             The family would like to thank the caring and dedicated staff from St. Croix Hospice, Our House Memory Care, Denise Brockel, Home Instead, and Visiting Angels for their help and support.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

A Memorial Mass for Paula A. Dietsche was held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 6 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

                The Very Rev. Jesse Burish was celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment was in Forest Hill Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Beth Martinek and Sue Van de Loo. Readings were given by Caden Servais and Michele McClay. Gift bearers were Amy Jo Patterson and Jessica Brown.

                Urn bearers were Kristina and Veronica Wolfe, Adora Dietsche, and Olivia Kui.
