Obituary

Richard L. Samens, 67, of Bloomer, town of Tilden, died Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Eau Claire.

Richard was born in Chippewa Falls to Edward and Jolan “Velma” (Erdley) Samens on November 5, 1955. He worked on the family farm until he passed away on September 2, 2023.

Richard is survived by his brothers, Joe (Barb) Samens, Don (Wanda) Samens, and Dennis Samens; sister, Margaret “Margo” Meyer; sister-in-law, Linda Crandall; and girlfriend, Pam Griffice.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jolan (Erdley) Samens; brother, Steve Samens; niece, Andrea Meyer; and nephew, Tony Samens.

He liked fishing, hunting, farming, music, Packers, Badgers, Brewers and valued time with his girlfriend.

He will be missed by family and friends.
