Ricky "Rik" Allen Greenseth, 70, of Chippewa Falls, died on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire after a brief bout with cancer.

Rik was born on December 13, 1953, in Chippewa Falls, the eldest of seven children and the son of Wayne “Greenie” Greenseth and Lois (Post) Greenseth Eichinger.

On April 22, 1989, Rik married Catherine "Cathy" R. Pieper at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where he was an active member as an usher and a proud member of the Chippewa Falls Optimist Club. Rik served honorably for the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1974.

Rik is survived by his mother Lois, mother-in-law Rose Pieper, his wife of 35 years Cathy, daughter Allison (Mike) Amundson, son Kyle; three brothers, his twin Pastor Ray (Patti), Mark (Julie), Scott (Cindy); and three sisters Kathy (Jim) Lange, Nancy (Dan) Frank of Chippewa Falls, Carol (Rick) Farmer, in laws; Shirley (Joe) Randall, Theresa (Richard) Sedlacek, Donna (Jim) Woodcock, Edwin (fiancé Missy) Pieper, William (Stephanie) Pieper, Nicholas (Tami) Pieper, Anne (Eric) Vanden Heuvel, Margaret (Todd) Schwarz, Regina (Terry) Blodgett, Veronica (Nathan) Romanowski, Karen (Justin) Simington; and four grandchildren, Jane, Ruby, Julia and baby Amundson; and godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by a daughter Elizabeth; his father Wayne Greenseth and father-in-law Leonard Pieper.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10 at Zion Lutheran Church, Chippewa Falls with his twin brother, Pastor Ray Greenseth and Pastor Brad Thomas officiating.  Inurnment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Lake Holcombe. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council at the cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M. on Thursday May 9 at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls and one hour before the time of services on Friday at Zion Lutheran Church.
