Robert S. Travaglio, 67, of Chippewa Falls, town of LaFayette, died Friday, May 29, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family after fighting hard to beat cancer under the care of St. Croix Hospice. Even though things got tough he never gave up, he always put his family before himself.

Bob was born October 30, 1958 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Nicholas M. and Joyce J. (Westphal) Travaglio.

On October 20, 1979, Bob married Joanne Boiteau at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. He worked at Mason Shoe for many years.

Bob loved to hunt and fish, his family was so proud of his outdoor skills. He was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Bow Hunters & Trappers Association. He was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of going to Colorado and taking a trip through the countryside on a steam powered locomotive.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; one son, Andy (Amber Lehrke) of Chippewa Falls; one daughter, Linda Travaglio of Cornell; two brothers, Nicholas (Jean) Travaglio, Jr. of Barron and Peter (Julie) Travaglio of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Patricia Travaglio and Michele Pederson both of Chippewa Falls; and grandchildren, Michael, Alex and Elaina Travaglio, Keon and Gavin Ferguson and Danika Rose.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved dogs, Max, Molly and Opie.

Bob’s family would like to give thanks to Mayo clinic, St. Croix Hospice and Integra Healthcare Equipment Company and family and friends for all the support they provided. He fiercely loved his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4th at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Inurnment will be in Hope Mausoleum at a later date.

Visitation will be held ONLY from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3rd at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

Funeral services for Robert S. Travaglio were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4th at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

Rev. David Nowicki was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Mass server, Mark Krejci.

Music during the Mass was provided by Nancy Haley and Beth Martinek. Readings were given by Bonnie Emerson. Gift bearers were Tammy Boiteau and Tracy Dejno.

Casket bearers were Jason and Travis Boiteau, Erik Goettl, Rick Sommerfeld, Alex and Michael Travaglio.

Wednesday evening Deacon Sean Hanson led the family, relatives and friends in a Christian vigil service at the funeral home.
