Robert "Bob" J. Monarski Obituary

Robert J. Monarski passed away peacefully on September 15, 2022. Originally from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Bob was passionate about education and was devoted to his faith and his family. After entering the Air Force in 1953, he proudly served his country for 4 years, including during the Korean War. He earned degrees in Chemistry and Mathematics, with a minor in Physics from the Wisconsin State University Eau Claire (now University of Wisconsin) and settled in Ohio and later in Delaware for career opportunities with DuPont. Bob found himself on the forefront of computer technology and enjoyed a fulfilling career there for more than 36 years. In Delaware, Bob was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and raised 5 children with his wife of 53 years, Mary Lu Monarski, who died in 2011. In addition to cheering on his beloved Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Phillies, he enjoyed bowling, golf and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He is predeceased by four sons, and survived by daughter-in-law Marcy, sons Paul, Tom (Joanne), Steve (Lisa), and daughter Ann, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, October 6 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Inurnment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.


Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 12 Noon on Thursday, October 6 at the church.


AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:


Memorial Mass for Robert J. Monarski was held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, October 6 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.


Rev. Brandon Guenther was celebrant of the Memorial Mass. Inurnment was in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.


Music during the Mass was provided by Beth Martinek and Sue Van de Loo. A solo was sung by Joe Monarski. Readings were given by John “Ace” and Joe Monarski. Gift bearers were Allison, Jennifer, Katya and Sophia Monarski.


Urn bearers were Ann, Paul, Steve and Tom Monarski.
