Ronald R. Anibas, 92, of Chippewa Falls, town of Tilden, died Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

                Ron was born August 6, 1931 in Eau Claire, the son of Andrew and Mildred (Crawford) Anibas. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 – 1955.

                On October 13, 1956, Ron married Nancy Ellenson at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. He was a member of Notre Dame Church.

                Ron worked for the Northern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled for 33 ½ years.

                Ron is survived by one son, Mark Anibas of River Falls; one daughter, Kim Murphy of St. Paul, MN.; two sisters, Irene Wilson of Eau Claire and Lois Ellenberger of Eagle River; three grandchildren, Shawn, Collin and Gretchen Anibas; and one great grandson, Deacon Anibas.

                Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy on July 1, 2013; his parents; one brother, Andrew Anibas, Jr; and two sisters, Theresa Kern and Janet Anibas

                Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 15 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brandon Guenther will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

                Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 15 at the funeral home.

AFTER SERVICE NOTICE:

                A Memorial service for Ronald R. Anibas was held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 15 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.

                Rev. Brandon Guenther officiated at the service and at the prayers of inurnment in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls. Military rites were conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council with Taps played by Josie Flood.

                Urn bearers were Collin and Tom Anibas, Jim Loew and Scott Wilson.
