Ronald Reuben Zander, 76, of Eau Claire, passed away into the loving arms of our Savior after a long, courageous battle with COPD, Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Oakwood Health Services in Altoona.

Ron was born April 28, 1947 in Antigo, WI, the son of Conrad and Eileen (Goranson) Zander. Graduated Elcho High School in 1965.

Ron worked at the Pelican Lake Marina, a family business, for many years and also drove school bus. He spent 15 years in Nebraska. For several of those years he owned and operated a Napa Auto Parts store. He then moved to Eau Claire in 2001, where he was a salesman for the Eau Claire Napa Auto Parts store.

He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Pelican Lake, WI where he was baptized and confirmed. He was also a proud member of the Eau Claire Elk’s Lodge.

Ron was a loving father and brother. He was also a wonderful friend to so many.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Melissa Zander of Vancouver, WA, one brother, Conrad Zander of Pelican Lake, WI and one sister Barbara (Dick) Abrahamson of Rhinelander, WI, and nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Zander.

 A Memorial service will be held in Eau Claire and Pelican Lake at a later date. Inurnment will be in Enterprise Cemetary in the town of Enterprise.
