Steve E. Geist, 77, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully with his daughters by his side on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.

                Steve was born November 29, 1946 in Nashville, TN, the son of Anthony “Tony” and Alma Josephine (Flodeen) Geist. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

                Steve worked for Rochester and Madison Silo and retired from the Northern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled.

                Steve is survived by one son, Shane (Reyna) Geist of Chippewa Falls; three daughters, Tammy (John) Ford of Arcadia, Tracy Bronstad (Steve Burich) and Tricia (Lee) Adrian both of Chippewa Falls; one brother, David (Kathy) Geist of Chippewa Falls; two sisters, Joyce Colburn of Chippewa Falls and Linda (Ron) Spaeth of Boyd; 12 grandchildren, Amber (Chris) Taylor, Jessica (Walter) Conner, Tyler Ford, Andie, Aaron and Adam Bronstad, Jordan, Nick (Kayla) Hable, Zachary (Rachel) Adrian, Aubrie Adrian, Cailey and Caleb Michlig; 7 great grandchildren, Mason, Lauren, Ayla, Keyanna, Grace, Graham and Doc; and special friend, Karen Panzke.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents; and one great grandson.

                A Celebration of Life will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. Friday, December 6 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council. Inurnment will be in Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

                A special thank you to Marshfield Clinic Cancer Center in Eau Claire and special friend, Karen Panzke. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and time with family and friends.
