Todd F. Benson

Todd F. Benson, 64, of Eau Claire, died suddenly on Friday, September 1, 2023 at his residence.

                Todd was born August 31, 1959 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of George and America “Judy” (Minix-Dusek) Benson. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant for 30 years and along the way he lived in Adak, Alaska, Hawaii, Jacksonville, FL and numerous other places.

                On August 12, 1986, Todd married Nancy Wieher in Lafayette, Indiana.

                Todd is survived by his wife, Nancy; one brother, Kenneth (Connie) Benson of Mishawaka, IN; three sisters, Tammy (Jeff) Adair of Levina, TN, Donna Giannetto and Dawn (Paul) Sowell both of Mishawaka, IN; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

                Todd was preceded in death by his parents.

                Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. The Very Rev. Jesse Burish will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.

                Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13 at the church.

                In lieu of flowers, Todd's family would appreciate any memorials to the American Heart Association.

                Funeral services for Todd F. Benson were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls.

                The Very Rev. Jesse Burish was celebrant of the funeral Mass assisted by Mass server, Mike Korger. Interment was in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner.

                Music during the Mass was provided by Beth Martinek and Sue Van de Loo. Gift bearers were Rich and Laura Eisenmenger.

                Casket bearers were Angela Giannetto, Gene Riesner, Michelle Shettard, John Stromski, Don Weibel, Al and William Wieher, and Tim Zidek.
